I invite you to leave your pick of the week, recommendations for others on what’s worth their money, great buys you made recently, stuff you wish was coming out soon, stuff you’re really looking forward to, stuff I missed, any other thoughts, opinions etc…
Til Tuesday!

I noticed within the last week that the Columbia Classics DVD-Rs were also referred to as “Sony Choice” — now I see from your post they have “Choice” across the front cover. Interesting. I’m curious about that Arlene Dahl film, having watched a couple of her films last weekend.
I’m a huge MGM fan but in my humble opinion the new Warner Archive released, HULLABALOO is one of the worst films MGM ever made, LOL. It’s weird! Would love to know what anyone else thinks of it or if it was “just me.” On the other hand I’m quite curious about BRIDGE TO THE SUN, sounds like a unique story.
Thanks, as always, for this comprehensive update!
Best wishes,
Laura
Hi Laura!
I know, that Columbia/Sony cover threw me a bit too at first
I havent seen She Played With Fire– but i saw the imdb viewer reviews are pretty decent (under it’s UK title, Fortune is a Woman, if anyone wants to check )
I have Hullabaloo on my to-watch pile, interested to watch now, that’s a pretty strong opinion, lol (makes me think how interesting it would be to see bloggers list their top 5 worst movies)
thanks for stopping in as always & cheers!
Thanks for all the feedback and the UK name of SHE PLAYED WITH FIRE! Definitely want to check it out.
Do let me know what you think of HULLABALOO, pro or con. As you know, I’m the kind of viewer who typically finds at least something to enjoy about most movies, but that one nearly made my head explode, even with some great people in the cast (I love Virginia Grey). LOL!
Best wishes,
Laura
