  1. Hi there, Just added my request for “3 Reactions to movies with Ryan Gosling”, funnily enough finished my post on this yesterday then thought perfect for your O Canada blogathon so saving it’s publishing for your big day!

  2. Alright, I’m in again! “God’s Country and the Cinema – James Oliver Curwood on Screen”… particularly “Back to God’s Country” (1919) and “Nomads of the North” (1920). I’m looking forward to being a part again this year!

  3. Hi Kristina,
I was very interested to see June Havoc was Canadian.
I have not seen many of her films;but as I’m on a Crane Wilbur
kick at the moment I managed to get hold of
THE STORY OF MOLLY X (1949)
It’s a women’s prison picture with a strong Feminist vibe and I thought
    June was a total knockout.
I’ve included it in a “Discoveries of 2017” thing that will appear soon over
    at Brian’s.
Best wishes and look forward to see what is chosen for your blogathon.

    1. That sounds like a good one! Yes I’m loving the topics chosen so far and sure to be more, lots of good reading to come, I hope to pick something fun and classic myself 🙂 thanks!

  4. Were you aware that although First Blood takes place supposedly in Washington state, it was actually filmed in BC?

  5. I can at least cover two of the three that count in the loosely-linked series. May seeks some assistance on the middle one as I may have missed my chance, or at least have to get creative.

      1. You’re welcome! It allowed me to get movies I’ve gone too long without rewatching & I discovered the original has an illustrated screenplay published. Looking forward to those. It’s the middle film of the three that’s elusive DVDs are scarce & costly and I think the producers used to offer their own proprietary streaming service but now it’s only available through iTunes Canada, once I get started in earnest I’ll look around for means of trying to see it.
